Seems like just a few months ago that I was celebrating Maddy’s Bat Mitzvah with her family in Newton Center.  So I was totally surprised to find out that nearly 4 years had passed, and Maddy was ready for her Senior portraits.  It was exciting to get the chance to catch up with her as we wandered around Auburndale Park on a rainy Friday afternoon.

We hadn’t planning to shoot a rainy day session…In fact all the way up to 30 minutes before the shoot, the day had been warm and sunny.  But Maddy loves rainy days, and came prepared with a perfect, clear umbrella, and a sunny disposition.  Starting right on the ball field, we quickly wandered over to the historic part of the park, where the cool old rock walls, the beautiful stone bridge, and even the more modern mid century rec building provided a lovely riverside backdrop for the photo session.  Moving across the athletic fields, we next followed the trails into the swamp, discovering a cool old picnic area surrounded by leafy woods and high grass.  The rain was nice enough to have ended by the time we finished the session with the day’s last cloud-filtered sunlight.
