Melina & Chad’s Wedding at Roger Williams Park Casino
March 4th is a fantastic day to get married. In fact it was March 4th, 2000 that I tied the knot with the love of my life. So I was extra excited to be photographing Melina & Chad’s wedding on March 4, 2011!
We started the day at the Warwick Radisson, where Melina and the gals were all gathered into Melina’s suite having too much fun and getting made up for the day. After a few final touches in the makeup chair, Melina was ready for her dress and her bridal debut. And what a stunning debut it was, between the elegant gown and the jeweled accessories, Melina’s wardrobe was almost as dazzling as her smile. We didn’t have much time to admire her couture however, as the trolley was downstairs waiting to take us to the wedding. So after a few quick photos on the way downstairs, we all headed off for the church.
The sun was imparting a late afternoon glow when we arrived at St. Peter’s Church in Warwick, RI, and that glow filtered in through the church windows and bathed Milena & Chad in a soft, golden, light as they happily made their lifetime vows to one another. The assembled crowd cheered as they walked down the aisle as husband and wife and into the sunset. And that was when the real fun began!
Loading up on the trolley we headed over to Roger Williams Park. With the last few minutes of sunset, we took advantage of the beautiful architecture at the Temple to Music. Then it was down the hill to the carousel, where the beautiful antique horses were chomping at the bit for a ride by the elegant wedding party. After a few laps, we took advantage of the other unique features of the carousel to capture some fun photos of the newly married couple before heading up to the Casino to join the gathered guests. And just in time, as the party was getting started awaiting only the arrival of the guests of honor to kick into full gear!

Thanks Neil. You’ll just have to come back to Providence soon! I’m sure Ms. Doyle will take you for a ride on the carousel…as long as you wear the boots! It was great meeting you!
