This weekend I got to travel to the coastline for two amazing couples in two amazing locations!

First up were Krista and Sean.  They’d suggested Winter Island in Salem MA as a location for their engagement portrait session, and I was blown away by what a cool location it was! All of my favorite ingredients were there from a lighthouse on the coast to a early 21st century hangar, to an old, abandoned, mansion.  And we took advantage of them all!  Starting on the beach, we used the picturesque lighthouse for a traditional New England background.  Moving around the rocky coast and through the earthworks of the Civil War era fort, we took in the beautiful shoreline and antique stone and iron gateways to the underground bunkers.  Moving through the parking lot, we paused at a charming little cottage before making our way around the massive hangar, with its amazing, weather-worn patina.  We saved the best for last, however, making our way to the long abandoned mansion on the hill and using its once expensive textures as a perfect backdrop.
