Saturday brought with it a tropical depression dumping what seemed like gallons of rain on Massachusetts - and on Kate and Rej’s wedding. Yet the rain couldn’t compete with the brightness of the smiles on the faces of this couple. From our first meeting at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Worcester, where Kate and her bridesmaids were dressed, to the end of the day, Kate’s smile never faltered!

After getting dressed at the hotel, we wandered downstairs, and took advantage of the modern leather furniture (and the cool green door) at the Crown Plaza for the bridal portraits. Then it was off to the College of the Holy Cross for the ceremony. This is my second time at Holy Cross, and the chapel there is one of the most beautiful churches in the state. After the ceremony, we faced the challenge of getting the formal photos done without getting wet. The covered “porch” of Fenwick hall offered the perfect location…until we tried to get a photo of the entire wedding party. When my widest regular lens wouldn’t cut it for the job, and since the shot was kind of a fun one anyway, we decided to see how it would look through the fisheye!

Then it was off to the Sterling National Country Club for the reception. While the rain beat down outside, the warmth continued inside as Kate and Rej’s friends and family danced the afternoon away.
