The Knot Magazine ~ Best of Weddings 2009 came out today, and I made it in! Every year, the wedding couples that use The Knot to plan their weddings get a chance to pick their favorite local vendors. The top choices from each region are given a “Best of Weddings” award, and listed in their annual “Best of Weddings” magazine.

If you happen to be near a newsstand that carries The Knot magazine, flip to page 63, to see this great write up:

“Book early” advises one bride, as this “very popular” photographer’s calendar fills up fast with brides craving his “absolutely amazing” digital photojournalism. Reports one bride, “he just stepped back and shot us as we interacted naturally,” yeilding “excellent” results.”

In addition I was given their highest three star “Above & Beyond” rating!

Thanks so much to my couples that voted for me and wrote so many nice things. It was wonderful to be a part of each of your weddings, and I’m humbled and thankful that you would share your experience with others in this way.

So should I change my tagline to “award winning, red-headed, published, photographer, Jamison Wexler”? Nah, I think I’ll stick with Jamie.

But I am happy to share with you a couple of exciting things that have happened this month.

First, if you pick up the Winter issue of Bride and Groom magazine, you will see a feature “Nearby Nuptials” article about the June wedding of Caroline and Justin, accompanied by a collection of photographs that I captured. This is my first “glossy” magazine feature, and I am planning on gold plating it or something.

Next, I was just informed that the folks at Wedding Wire have awarded me a “2009 Bride’s Choice Award”. Apparently a number of my brides voted in their survey and I was selected as a winner. Thanks to all of you who cast your vote!
