I visited three different states to photograph Brianna and Travis’s wedding in Kittery Point ME.  OK, nothing actually took place in MA, but since I started there, I figured I’d add in a little extra excitement…not that I needed to, it was quite the exciting day all on its own!

I met with Bri and her 8 bridesmaids at the Hilton Garden Inn in beautiful downtown Portsmouth, NH.   Since all the hair and makeup was already perfectly in place, it didn’t take long for all the ladies to get dressed.  Then we hit the town!  Portsmouth is a city that seems to be frozen in time, and we took advantage of the old architecture for portraits of Bri and the ladies.  After stopping all of the traffic in front of a cool downtown bakery, and climbing all over the rickety spiral staircases on an old brick apartment building, we jumped back on the limo bus and across state lines.

Ten minutes later we arrived at Travis’ family home, which was all dressed up for the wedding.  A tent was erected on the front lawn, and festooned with blue paper lamps, while the yard was decorated with tables and white linens.  Arriving guests were given a pair of sandals, and directed down a path to a lovely little clearing right on the water.  Once all of the guests were seated, it was Bri’s turn to walk down the long shady aisle.  The ceremony was completely them, with a recently “ordained” friend performing the ceremony…complete with a reading from the poetry of the BackStreet Boys!

Soon the ceremony was over, and the new Mr. and Mrs. Murray headed back onto the Limo Bus, which took us to an old fort (Fort McClary) down the road for their photo shoot.  We climbed amidst the stones and brassy embankments, taking advantage of the unique characteristics of the fort as the backdrop for their photos.  Then it was back to the homestead, where the crown was ready to party!  Between the awesome food, the great entertainment, and the spirit of fun in the air, the party lasted well into the night.
