Late August weddings can often be a little hot and uncomfortable…but not Colleen and Tyler’s! They were blessed with a perfect day to celebrate their wedding at St Peter’s Church in Plymouth MA, and reception right across the street at the amazing, historic Plymouth Memorial Hall!
But before we could start the wedding, everyone involved had to get into their beautiful and dashing wedding outfits, so my day started with Colleen and her family at the home away from home that they had rented for the occasion. Hair and makeup was just finishing when I arrived, so after making sure i got photos of all of the important details, the ladies (and a dad or two), jumped into their dresses and were ready for their turn in front of the camera. Then it was off to the church, where Tyler and guests were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the bride. They were not disappointed as she seemed to glide down the aisle to take her beloved’s hand at the front of the church and say the words that would bond them for life. Her smile was even bigger when she walked the other way down the aisle, and was mirrored by Tyler’s own.
Hopping into the waiting limousine, we took a shord drive down toe Christopher Columbus park, where Tyler had asked her the most important question of their lives. We walked the bridge where she said, “Yes”, and wandered the park for a bit, before hopping back into the limo to take a few more photos at the jetty. That was all the time we had for photos…we had a party to get to! And the Plymouth Memorial Hall was just my kind of place! The floor of the auditorium was beautifully decorated, with strings of lights casting a romantic glow over their first dance as husband and wife. While the guests were eating, I did a little exploring with the couple, and found a couple of really cool nooks and crannies for a couple more portraits. Then it was time to dance, with the lights dimming and the DJ kicking the music…and the fun…into high gear!
