Jessica & Ryan’s Wedding at Gedney Farm in New Marlborough, MA
Is there a more beautiful place to witness the glory of autumn in New England than the Berkshires? Jessica and Ryan don’t think so…and after spending the day with them at their gorgeous wedding at Gedney Farm in New Marlborough, MA, I think they might be right!
Gedney Farm has a great guest quarters, and the family and friends were taking advantage of them, so it was easy for me to bop around from room to room and capture all of the action. From Ryan’s Mom helping him with his bow tie to Jessica’s suite, where her makeup was happening, to her soon to be mother-in-laws suite where she put on her dress, to the most formally dressed cornhole game I have ever witnessed; I was there to record all the fun. Time was already flying when we all climbed the hill to the field where Jessica and Ryan made it official, and it didn’t stop for the ceremony. Quick as a flash, the deed was done, and the three of us were on a golf cart touring the farm picking out the very best photo spots; the happy newlyweds valiantly fighting off the chill, and smiling warmly through it all. Our tour ended at the barn, and without a pause, the happy couple headed into the party, where time continued to fly as the dance floor stayed hopping all night!

9 Month Old Ryan’s Portraits in Ashland MA
Last week, I had the opportunity to check in on young Ryan for the (almost) 9 month session in his baby’s first year package at his home in Ashland, MA. And this time, young Ryan made sure his big sis was at school. I mean he loves her to death, but he wanted his portrait session to be his turn to shine…and shine he did!
He couldn’t wait to show me how well he could stand up, with just a little help from the coffee table in the living room. He even looked knowingly at the couch a few feet away. Contemplating taking a step over there. In the end he decided to save something for the next session, and instead told us how much he really didn’t care for the pillows on the couch that Mom loves so much. So we headed downstairs into the playroom, where he had a great time playing with a puzzle and found pillows that were far more to his liking! Heading outside, we was excited to get into the fall spirit with the decorative signs, wishing well, and piles of leaves that Dad raked up just for this purpose. Through it all he proved that he could smile just as big as his big sis on any day of the week!

Bob and Dan’s Engagement Portraits in Boston, MA
This week I had the opportunity to meet with bob and Dan for their engagement portraits onon Boston’s Beacon Hill and the Esplanade. I was looking forward to their New Year’s Eve wedding before the shoot, but after have way more fun than should be allowed at work during their engagement session, I positively can’t wait for their big day!
We met up on Charles street, and were off an running, quickly ducking into alleys to find the cool textures and backgrounds that this historic part of the city has to offer. Things really took a turn for the fun, however, when we discovered a little kid’s bike and decided to give it a trial run. From then on out, the theme was alternative transportation, as we made our way down to the Esplanade and discovered, not only a beautiful sunset over the Charles, but bikes and boats galore, and not one “keep off” sign. Through it all, the couple’s smiles, laughter, and willingness to climb into leaky little boats in their nice clothes, kept us eagerly looking for the next fun “set”. Their wedding is gonna be one New Years party that I wouldn’t miss for the world!

Denise & Jeff’s Wedding at Wachusett Country Club in Boylston, MA
Fall wedding season is in full swing, bringing along with it cool evening, colorful foliage, and couples whose love warms the night. And all of this was true at Denise and Jeff’s wedding at St. Mary of the Hills and reception at Wachusett Country Club in Boylston, MA.
We started at Denise’s family home in Worcester, MA, where she was already seated in the makeup chair when I arrived. With so much natural beauty, it didn’t take long for her to finish up, and lickety split she was in her dress, and out into the beautifully landscaped yard, where the lovely garden provided a perfect backdrop for some bridal portraits. The limo pulled up as we were finishing, and everyone piled in and headed out to St Mary of the Hills in Boylston. The guests were already seated when Denise’s dad helped her out of the elegant car, and Jeff was waiting on the altar, smiling as Denise made her way to him. A beautiful Mass joined them in marriage, and, still smiling, they made their way back into the limo. Golden sunlight was descending on Wachusett Country Club as the limo pulled in, and I immediately took off with the new Mr and Mrs to take advantage of the light and the scenery. By the time we made it inside, everyone was primed for the party. And they weren’t disappointed!
