Jinney & Lane’s Wedding at Corsair & Cross Rip in Dennis Port, MA
Memorial Day weekend is the perfect time to rent a house on a Cape Cod beach, invite 80 of your closest friends and family, set up a huge tent in the back yard, bust out a whole bunch of beer (brewed specially for the occasion), and get married. If that sounds like your kind of weekend, you’re not alone. Jinney and Lane had the same idea, and they pulled it off perfectly at the Corsair & Cross Rip in Dennis Port, MA!
There wasn’t a cloud in the sky as I pulled into the beach view cottage where Jinney and her girls were getting ready. And it was just as sunny inside, as they primped for the main event, Jinney’s mom providing her excellent makeup skills to the mix. A quick trip across the street proved that things were just as chill on Lane’s side of the street as he and his Dad became formally dressed. With everyone ready, we all took a stroll down to the beach, where the guests were already gathered wearing the sunglasses that the bride and groom handed out in liu of programs. It was a good call…the sunglasses shielding the crowd from being blinded by the couple’s love as they pledged their lives to each other. Back across the street to the backyard tent, the smell of grilling sirloin called out to us to start the party. And it was everything that a fun backyard wedding should be!

Christine & Bob’s Wedding at The Barker Tavern in Scituate, MA
May means beautiful weather, longer days, and the start of wedding season. And this season started off with a heck of a nice day and a great wedding, as I spent the day with Christine and Bob wandering around her childhood town of Scituate, MA, and culminating in a beautiful wedding at the Barker Tavern.
The day began at Christine’s family home in Scituate. By the time I arrived, everyone was mostly dressed and made up…leaving only Christine to slip into her vintage-inspired, beaded, gown. After a few photos around the house, I followed the limo down to a river pier with an awesome view, where Bob awaited his bride. After a joyous first look on the pier, we got the entire wedding party involved in a couple of photos before heading over to the Scituate Boat Club for round 2. Champagne awaited the party at the boat club and Christine’s family joined us for a few waterfront photos. Our next stop was the beautiful Scituate Lighthouse, where Christine and Bob braved the seawall. Photos finished, all that was left was to get married. And that’s just what they did in front of their friends and family. Since we finished all of the photos before hand, it was an uninterrupted party from then on out.
