Liz and Jason’s Wedding at the Oceanview in Nahant, MA
A beautiful day for a lovely wedding as Jason and Liz tied the knot at The Oceanview in Nahant, MA. But before the hitching there was a journey of planes, trains, and automobiles…..or at least, planes, buses and automobiles!
The excitement began at the Westin Copley Hotel, where the starring members of the cast were all getting ready for the main event. Liz and her bridesmaids were taking turns in the makeup hot seat, while trying to gulp down a bit of lunch and dress themselves in their beautiful dresses. With everyone dressed and ready, I popped down to Jason’s room to see how the guys were getting on with the process. Pretty well, as it turns out, and with ties tied and jackets flowered, he and I headed to a quiet spot I had scoped out for a quick moment alone with his bride to be.
Once reunited, the happy couple hopped on the bus with their trusty companions, and we headed up to Nahant, pausing at the beach for a few photos before heading over to the Oceanview. With Liz and Jason safely hidden away, the guests filled the ballroom with its beautiful view of the harbor and waited for the wedding. They didn’t have to wait long, Liz and Jason making things official in a flurry of smiles and happy tears. After that, all that was left was the party, with its airplane motif, it’s great food, its thumping music, and its endless chorus of smiles and laughter.

1 Year Old Scarlett’s Portrait Session in Norwood, MA
Ahhh Scarlett…a pretty southern name for a pretty northern girl that I got to hang out with this weekend at her home in Norwood MA.She had just celebrated her first birthday, and couldn’t be more excited about the world around her!
When I arrived, I spent a few minutes in the family room getting reacquainted with Mom and Dad, and meeting Scarlett for the first time. Within minutes of meeting her, she was flashing me her perfect toddler smile, and I knew she was going to be a natural as a baby model. We decided to start the session in her beautifully decorated room, where she showed off her colorful birthday tutu and her mastery of the classic peek-a-boo game. Heading across the hall into Mom and Dad’s room, she showed me how well she can stand, and bounced for a bit on Mom and Dad’s bed. A quick wardrobe change, and it was time to explore the back yard. An old fence provided the perfect backdrop for a family photo and a break for cheerios with Dad, then Scarlett was off, showing me the garden, and a her perfectly sized lawn chair, and her water table in the process!

Emma and Abigail’s portraits in Wakefield, MA (12ish Month Edition)
It’s another important milestone for the G family as Emma recently turned one! We’ve been capturing her first year, checking in every few months, and she has turned out cute as a button…with a personality to match!
With this session we wanted to capture her in some of the same locations as her newborn photos, so we began the show in mom and Dad’s bedroom, where she showed us what a big girl she was by sitting by herself on Mom’s antique vanity chair. The it was across the hall to her own room, where she turned the cuteness into high gear, posing in her crib and her closet with smiles and playfulness. Back into Mom and Dad’s room, for a shot on the chair she’d nested on when she first entered the world, then we packed everyone up to enjoy the outdoors at the park. The cuteness continued on the perfect summer day, and doubled when big sis, Abigail decided to join in. And since wading into the lake is the perfect way to cool off on a summer day, that’s just what we did!

Tim and Brittany’s Wedding Photos at Lynch Park in Beverly MA and the Bayside Function Room in Nahant, MA
This weekend I got the opportunity to experience a wedding from the other side, as I played the role of the “groom’s photographer” for the day…and let me tell you, it was a blast! Probably because Tim and Brittany were such a fun couple the entire day, from their ceremony at the Lynch Park rose garden in Beverly, MA, to their reception at the Bayside Function Room in Nahant, MA.
So what happens when the groom and his guys get ready? Well first, there’s a bottle of 15 year old single malt scotch, and then there’s a lot of manly camaraderie as we carpooled down to the seaside to unleash their inner boy band. Then Tim went solo, and I got to shoot my very first extended groomal portrait session. Arriving at Lynch Park, we wandered down the rocky beach, pausing at the littlest dinghy I’ve ever seen before joining up with the guys again at the classic old building at the center of the park. By this time the wedding guests started together in the rose garden, and Brittany’s limo rolled up to the gates for the ceremony.
It was the perfect day in the perfect oceanside venue for a perfect wedding as Brittany and Tim were married under the bright summer sun. Walking down the aisle hand in hand, they tok some time for photos with their wedding party before hopping in the limo for the short trip to Nahant. I followed behind, and we stopped next to the Tardis in Salem for them to unleash their inner time lords together. Continuing our journey, we arrived at the Bayside during golden hour, as the evening sun cast its golden light on the happy pair. Then it was inside for a joyous first dance, followed by a fantastic party that was just beginning as I said my goodbyes.

Jessica & Jon’s Wedding at The Old Lantern Inn and Barn in Charlotte, VT
A destination wedding that I can drive to? Sign me up! Especially when the destination in question is the farmland that borders Lake Champlain in Northern VT. And doubly so when the wedding is in a beautiful old barn, on a beautiful old farm, on a beautiful summer day. Jess and Jon made it all happen when they tied the knot at the Old Lantern Inn and Barn in Charlotte, VT.
By the time I arrived in VT, the holiday weekend was winding down, and the betrothed couple had made the most of it, renting a quaint cabin minutes from the barn where they had stayed with their closest friends. It was at the cabin, that i found Jess and her bridesmaids getting themselves ready for the big event. A fun hour later, and we were all on the road to the barn, where Jess would don her dress and see Jon for the first time. Then it was a short drive down to a quaint covered bridge on the shores of Lake Champlain, where Jess’ wedding sandals proved to be the sensible choice for rock climbing!
Back at the barn, the guests were all ready for a wedding, and that’s just what happened, with a cute dog, and a cuter ring bearer preceding them down the aisle. As the late afternoon shone it’s warm blessing, the happy couple sealed the deal with a kiss and a fist pump. Then all that was left to do was party, and with the DJ keeping things hopping inside, and the lawn games providing a ton of fun outside, the celebration lasted well into the night!
