Going to high school in the late 80s meant that I got to rock out to some of the best music ever made. Saturday night I got to re-live the soundtrack of my teenage years when I was hired to photograph the awesome 80s cover band, Whiskey Church at Central Tavern in Milford MA.
I arrived just as the guys were finishing up their sound check and ready for a break. We had a few minutes to pull together some photos of the band together, and I’d scoped out a dark alley across the street that was perfect for the job. After a few photos of the band together it was showtime! That’s when the fun really started…the band raising the roof with a killer first set of 80s standards and an energetic performance that had the dancefloor packed.
This week I got to reconnect with one of my favorite families, and take a walk in a beautiful patch of woods on a (nearly) spring day to boot.
As I walked up to Abby and Emma’s home, I was actually a little warm in my coat, so I suggested we move outside for Emma’s 9 month portraits. After all, it’s been a while since the thermometer hit 40! A short drive down to Breakheart Reservation in Wakefield and we were enjoying a walk on the quiet wooded trails. Emma wasted no time showing me her 9 month old cuteness, happily sitting on stumps, falling logs, rocky outcroppings, and copses of trees. All the while Abigail was waiting for her chance to shine, and shine she did, engaging me in a lively game of hide and seek. With everyone in such great moods, it was the perfect time to pose for a family photo before calling a wrap.
