KelliAnn and Bryan’s Wedding at St Catherines in Somerville, MA and Tewksbury Country Club in Tewksbury, MA
What do you call a wedding where you get to have both a wedding band and a Stanley Cup Championship ring placed on your hand? I call it awesome! And Kelly and Brian got to try on both at their Tewksbury Country Club wedding (though they had to give one of the rings back).
I met Kelly and her bridesmaids at her Medford apartment, where I happily joined in to the pre wedding fun. After a tearful moment, where her Dad first saw her dressed for the wedding, they jumped into the elegant Rolls Royce that was to drive them to the main event. Bryan and the guests were waiting at St Catherines in Somerville, MA, and when the Rolls pulled up a perfect wedding ensued!
Tewksbury Country Club was the final destination for the fancy car, and its fancy occupants, and after a few photos with the car, we wandered off onto the lovely manicured grounds. Then it was time for the party to begin, and like many wedding parties it began with a first dance between the bride and groom. As the first dance wound down, hockey fan Bryan was dumbfounded when the ballroom door opened, and Renee Rancourt came in ready to start the celebration off with his famous rendition of the national anthem. And the celebrity kickoff was only the beginning of a truly magical night!

Ronik’s 3 Month Portraits in Boston, MA
This week I had the chance to reconnect with Ronik and his family and see how much he has grown in the past three months. A lot, it turns out!
The weather outside was really nice when I arrived at the family’s Back Bay apartment, so I suggested a walk in the park to get things going, and Ronik couldn’t have agreed more! He rode in style in his deluxe stroller, and was ready for all of the new experiences that the playground had to offer. Between lounging on the bench, riding the springy airplane with Dad, and trying out the swing set, Ronik did it all! All of that playing made him sleepy, so he took a power nap on the way back to his home, cuddling sleepily with Mom, Dad, and Grandma. It didn’t take long, however, for him to be back in the game, delivering a last burst of super cuteness to close out the session.
Stay tuned for the next installment of Ronik’s first year!

Elizabeth & John’s Wedding at the Lenox Hotel in Boston, MA
So a guy walks into a bar…no, no…keep reading…this is a good one! A guy walks into a bar and takes a seat. This super cute bartender walks over and says, “What’ll it be, Mac”. Without a pause, the hero of our story responds, “How ’bout a beer, and your phone number? I want to invite you to our wedding”. OK, so the part in the middle may have only happened in my weird mind, but Liz and John’s story did begin at a bar…and end at a perfect wedding at the Lenox Hotel in Boston MA.
And that’s where I came into their love story. When I met Liz and her bridesmaids in their suite, they were wearing matching hotel robes, and matching smiles. The smiles only got wider as Liz donned her dress, and headed up to the hotel roof where she shared a first look with her soon-to-be husband. Then we headed down to the lobby, and hopped into a fleet of cabs to the “Pour House” bar, where Liz really was a bartender, and John a smitten patron when they met! We got a sampling of Liz’s pouring skills, as she drew a beer for her entire wedding party, then we headed back to the Lenox to have a wedding! And the wedding itself provided the perfect happy ending to the first chapter of Liz and John’s story, full laughter, and dancing, and lots and lots of love!

Lauren & Paul’s July 4th wedding on Thompson Island in Boston, MA
What did I do on July 4th? So glad you asked! I spent it on an island in Boston Harbor eating lobster while watching fireworks crest over the Boston skyline. And that wasn’t even the best part. The best part was capturing the beautiful wedding of Lauren and Paul on Thompson Island in Boston, MA!
I met the happy couple on the water taxi dock at Logan airport, where we boarded the boat that took us to the island. I rode with Lauren and her daughter, Meghan, to the commanders home where they touched up their hair and makeup, and donned their lovely dresses. The guest ferry was set to arrive, so I headed down to the dock to capture the arrival and make the short hike with the friends and family to the ceremony location. Paul knows the island like the back of his hand, and he picked a perfect location for the ceremony on a rolling hilltop overlooking the ocean. The warm afternoon sun shone down on them as they professed their love and lives to each other in a moving musical ceremony. Then they jumped on a golf cart that proclaimed “Just Married, and rode off into the sunset…and I rode with them documenting the fun and laughter, and fireworks that went off when they kissed…literally :).

3 Month Old Ben’s First Portrait Session in Georgetown, MA
Part 2 of my weekend portrait marathon found me at the home of Christina and Dave, and their awesome new arrival, Benjamin!
Little Ben was sweetly sleeping when I arrived, but Mom and Dad were able to awaken him with a little coaxing, and he awoke full of smiles. We started out with a few photos in the well lit living room, before heading upstairs to check out his nursery. He couldn’t wait to show me how tough he looked in his baby boxing gloves, and how well he could sit up in his favorite reading chair. Bear needed a cuddle next, and Ben was all to eager to comply. Downstairs, we paused for a quick snack, then another one, then we tried out a soft blanket in front of the fireplace. Dad took over at this point, and Ben was soon decked out in his custom Philadelphia Eagles jersey, and ready to root for the family team!

The Sullivan Family Portraits at the Old Grist Mill in Sudbury, MA
This weekend I had the opportunity to photograph my largest family portrait session to date, and man was it fun!
Sully and Jill, the creators of the awesome clan have a soft spot in their hearts for the old grist mill in Sudbury, MA, so that’s where we decided to hold this portrait party. As soon as everyone arrived, we all got together for family photos in front of the historic water wheel, starting with the whole family, and working our way through successive generations. Then I got a chance to walk around with the different families present. Starting out with Courtney, Sean, and Breck, we wandered over the old bridge, and down a wooded path until we found a perfect rock for Breck to conquer. Summit reached, and a lot of cute photos captured along the way, I next got to spend time with Sully and his bride. We started at the old bridge, but then slipped away from the group to their favorite romantic getaway: The Longfellow’s Wayside Inn. Back at the mill, we paused for a few photos of the Sullivan sibs, before wandering to a different part of the property with Caitlin, Joe, and Cian. By this time the heat of the day was catching up to us, so I left the happy family with plans to meet back at Sully and Jill’s pool!
