The Constantine family portraits at the Boston Public Gardens
This week I got to meet the Constantine family and hang out with them for a sunny lunch break at the Boston Public Gardens.
Since we were meeting for the first time, I thought a great place to connect would be at the duckling statues. One year old Mila agreed, and was delighted to get a chance to crawl around the famous sculpture, and even ride the Mama duck with her very own Mama. Dad arrived shorly there after, and we decided to get a few family photos before his lunch hour was over. Wandering down one of the many paths in the green landscape, we found the perfect tree for Mila to sit on with Mom and Dad. Then they hung our legs over the sides of a historic fountain, before Mila took both of their hands for a walk down the path. Saying goodby to Dad, we hung out in the park for a little while longer, Mila delightedly experiencing her very first water fountain, and taking time to crawl in the warm grass. After a quick bottle break, Mila was ready to keep going, finishing the session off with a few Mom cuddles in the Comm Ave mall!

Lauren & Eric’s Wedding at the Hyatt Harborside in Boston MA
Boston in the springtime is perfect for lovers, so there’s no better time for a city wedding. This weekend, I got the chance to capture the love between Lauren and Eric as they tied the knot at the Hyatt Harborside in Boston, MA.
My day began with Lauren and her bridesmaids as they enjoyed the process of being papered and transformed into princesses for the day. Once they’d dressed in all of their finery, we all hopped aboard a waiting shuttle and took a quick trip across town to the North End’s Columbus Park, where Eric was waiting to see his bride for the first time. After a joyful reunion, we wandered around the park for a bit before venturing into the warrens of Lauren and Eric’s North End neighborhood. Shuttling back to the hotel, we met the family for a few more photos in front of the Chuppah, before Lauren and Eric sat down to sign the ketubah. By this time the guests were gathering in the seaside room for the wedding ceremony. As the sun set over the Boston skyline visible through the floor to ceiling windows, Lauren and Eric pledged their lifetime devotion to one another. With the tinkle of breaking glass and a chorus of Mazel tov, the happy couple walked back down the aisle hand in hand.
The sunset was in full swing, so the three of us headed downstairs to take advantage of it’s radiant glow. The glow followed us inside, where Lauren and Eric’s friends and family were ready to celebrate. And celebrate they did, with good wine, and great food, and lots and lots of dancing!

Andi and Adam’s Engagement Portraits at Shannon Trails in Salem NH
Daniel Boone once said, “All you need for happiness is a good gun, a good horse, and a good wife.” Hanging out with Andi, Adam, Cindy-Lou, and Starbuck for Andi and Adam’s engagement session at Shannon Trails in Salem, NH last week, I think he may be right!
When I arrived at the farm, I was greeted by the familiar barn smells of my childhood. Cindy-Lou was already out of her stall, and getting ready for her starring role in our production. After donning a bridal and saddle, she carried Andi up to the trail-head, where the bright sun painted the rolling hills a brilliant shade of green. She never broke her stride as Adam joined Andi for a few horseback cuddles, then carried them back to the barn for a few well deserved treats. With Cindy-Lou happily grazing in the field, Andi, Adam and I wandered around the farmyard on foot, capturing the love they feel for each other in their home-away-from home!

Joanna & Colin’s Wedding at St Clements Castle in Portland, CT
When you are as in love as Joanna and Colin, and you have a wedding venue with the amazing indoor and outdoor spaces that St Clements Castle in Portland, CT offers, than a little rain on your wedding day is not going to stop you from having the time of your life!
I started the day with Colin and his groomsman in his suite at the Inn at Middletown. Hanging out withe the guys, it was instantly clear to me how much fun this day was going to be…and I was not wrong! Heading downstairs, I met Joanna and her bridesmaids, just as they were departing for St Clements, and after a short drive we all arrived at the castle. The girls were having just as much fun as they finished their preparations in the castle’s bridal suite. After stealing Joanna away for a few portraits, I escaped downstairs to hang out with the arriving guests, and get ready for the ceremony. There was a break in the rain, so the call was made to have the ceremony outside, and we all gathered in the courtyard awaiting the arrival of the betrothed couple. The fun continued during the ceremony, and even the arrival of a rain shower couldn’t dampen the spirits of the witnesses as Joanna and Colin became official. Under an umbrella, they sealed the deal with a kiss, and we headed under cover for their family photos. Once we’d preserved the family memories forever, we were ready for the party. The rain outside continued through the afternoon but the party inside was warm and dry and happy as the gathered celebrants lived up to the title!

9 Month Cora’s Portrait Session in South Boston, MA
This weekend I had the opportunity to reconnect with an awesome couple whose wedding I photographed a couple of years ago, and meet the newest addition to their family, the super cute and fierce, 9-month old Cora.
We met at their beautiful South Boston apartment and Cora wasted no time showing me around the place, rocketing down the hall in her best crawl, so she could walk back with Dad. After a few laps around the apartment, we decided to explore the beautiful spring day, stepping into the back yard, where she showed her movie star personality with her cool shades! Then it was back upstairs for a quick snack, before walking down the short hill to the beach. It was a little bright at the beach, and the sand felt funny between our toes, so we decided to head back home. That’s where we found her extensive library, and her love of reading! A book about Olivia the pig was the perfect ending to the fun photo session.

Jenny & Dan’s Wedding at Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, MA
April showers might bring may flowers, but April brides prefer sunny spring days like the perfect day we had for Jenny and Dan’s wedding at the Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, MA.
My day began when everyone arrived and started the frantically fun process of dressing and toasting the upcoming nuptials. Since they were just a couple of doors down from each other, I was able to spend my time bouncing between the mens and ladies ready rooms to capture all of the fun. Soon it was time for Jenny and Dan to have their first look, and we headed downstairs for the happy reunion. From there the three of us took a tour of the property for Jenny and Dan’s wedding day portrait session, with the minutes-from-being-wed couple expressing their love and the joy that they felt together.
Back at the mansion, the guests were gathered and it was time for the wedding to begin. There was not a dry eye in the courtyard as Jenny and Dan’s family participated in the emotional ceremony that joined Jenny and Dan as husband and wife. Afterwards the family gathered together for a few photos before everyone joined the party already in motion inside. The emotions continued to flow like the beats from the DJ’s speakers all through the evening with the toasts, the dancing, and the celebration bringing the perfect spring wedding day to a perfect conclusion.
