One year old Leah’s portrait session in Peabody, MA
Two years ago yesterday, I had the honor of hanging out with Cassie & Jeff as they became a family, so I was super excited when they asked me to photograph their newest family member: one year old Leah.
Leah was waiting to welcome me in the sunny living room of their Peabody home. She showed me her favorite buttons to push on her play center, a great book about animals with fuzzy tummies, and let me know how much she loved the song, “The Itsy Bitsy Spider”. After a quick pose on a beautiful settee, we decided to take advantage of the almost-spring weather we had outside, and headed into the back yard taking turns on the wood pile, a cool weathered fence, and the back steps to the home that just happened to be in the most beautiful light! Back inside, we checked out the nursery, and Mom put on her party dress, while Leah showed me her favorite set of stacking cups. Our last spot was the family staircase, where Leah discovered how much fun it was to get the lovely bow out of her hair and have mom put it back in!

Ronik’s Newborn Portraits in Boston, MA
A couple of weeks ago, I got to hang out with Anita and Sujit as they made the final preparations for the growth of their family. At the time, they asked me to take photos of a pair of blue booties and a pair of pink booties so as to cover all of the bases. The blue booties won! This weekend I got to meet 5-day-old Ronik at the family’s lovely apartment in Boston’s Back Bay.
Ronik’s proud grandmother brought him out to meet me, and from the first moment he was a baby posing natural. He was alert and awake for the entire time together, patiently allowing us to move him from the changing table, where he was enamored with all of the congratulatory cards welcoming him into the world, to the sunny living room day bed, to his shiny new nursery. There he modeled an heirloom family outfit and tried on a few bits of jewelry before letting us know that all of this hard work was making him hungry. So he excused himself for a snack, returning a few moments later content and sleepy to finish his first photo session.
I’ll be photographing Ronik’s first year of life, and can’t wait to see how much he’s grown by his three month portrait session!

Anita & Sujit’s Maternity Portraits in Boston, MA
The last few weeks have provided plenty of opportunities for some fun winter portraits in the snow, and I had just the fun couple to take advantage of it. Anita and Sujit are expecting a happy new addition to their family in a few weeks, and wanted to celebrate with a playful photo session in the snow.
I met the awesome parents-to-be at their Back Bay apartment, and we decided to hit the outdoors right away, while the snow was still falling. Seeing as how in just a few months, they’ll be spending a lot of time at the playground, we embarked on a scouting mission to a local playground where Anita and Sujit wasted no time testing out the “safety” of all of the playground equipment.
Back at the apartment we took advantage of the beautiful light filtering in through the large picture window, and the freshly painted living room wall which gave the scene a studio feel. That didn’t take away from the fun of the shoot, though, as Anita and Sujit busted out the custom t-shirts, and baby booties, and extra fun attitudes!
