It’s amazing how fast a year can go by.  It seems like just yesterday that I was meeting Kaitlin for the first time.  Over the first year of her life, I was albe to capture her as a newborn, at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and one year.  It was amazing to see her grow in front of my camera!

We started her one year session  in the family home, where Kaitlin showed off her “Hi” while cycling through a couple of outfits.  After settling on the perfect one, we headed upstairs where she had a grand time romping around her room and Mom and Dad’s room.  When her cousin, Brayden, arrived we marched downstairs to greet him, then took a few photos in front of a bright spring backdrop capturing the cousins together.  By then, the rain had stopped, and we headed outside to the park, where Kaitlin got a chance to run around and play in the spring weather.  After she splashed in a particularly dirty puddle, Mom took her shoes and socks off.  That suited Kaitlin just fine, as we found an awesome building with a plush, green lawn!

And since he was visiting with Grandma, we had to get a photo of cousin, Brayden too!

A little touch of spring was in the air in Boston this weekend, as folks traded their parkas for sweaters and enjoyed the early spring day.  Not wanting to be left out, I joined Milena and Sam for an afternoon stroll along the waterfront for their engagement portrait session.

After meeting at the Long Warf Marriott, we headed outside where the Aquarium Imax theater caught our eye.  Following the waterfront, we headed south stopping at Schlegell’s steel sculpture for a bit of a rest before heading across the way to Long Warf.  By this time we were looking for a break from the brisk ocean breeze, so we stepped into the Boston Harbor Hotel, where upstairs, Meritage was empty and waiting.  After a  brief respite we were again ready to brave the outdoors. We headed across the bridge where Milena and Sam were the stars of their very own romance movie, and on to the courthouse lawn, where the late afternoon sun and the breathtaking views of the city skyline awaited us.  Then it was a couple more blocks to South Station where we, sadly, parted ways…for a few weeks, anyhow!
