The Conway Family Portraits in Middleton, MA
It seems that I am always hanging out with Ryan and Ryanne in the coldest months of the year. Two years ago, it was at their wedding in Salem, where a blizzard gave us an opportunity to bust out Grandma’s firs, and get some awesome nighttime photos in the driving snow. This Sunday, it was capturing them with the newest addition to their family: one year old Ava!
I met the Conway family at their Middleton home where, Stella, the giant golden retriever, greeted me with enthusiasm. After a few pets I was able to break away for a tour of their beautiful Middleton home with Ava and Ryanne. We decided to start in Ava’s play room, where she was quick to show me her favorite toys. After a bit of play, she climbed into a cool red rocker that belonged to her grandfather when he was little, and was just her size. A quick drive in her cool, pink, convertible finished the tour of her playroom, and we headed upstairs to her bedroom. And being the daughter of Ryanne, it was little surprise that Ava’s dress was perfectly coordinated with the color of her room. After a quick break for a snack and some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, we headed back upstairs jumping into the bathtub for a few quick shots, before visiting Ryanne and Ryan’s bedroom for a snugglefest on the bed, and a little playtime with a mountain of shoes. As the afternoon wound down, we headed out to the front porch for a quick family portrait before the onset of hypothermia!

Ruth, Dennis, and Joe’s Family Portraits in Waban, MA
Feet of snow on the ground doesn’t mean that we can’t get great photos! In fact, playing in the snow was what made my portrait session with Ruth, Dennis, and Joe (and his ‘big sis’ Roxy) so much fun!
I met the family at their home in Waban, MA, and was immediately welcomed by Joe who crawled into my lap and started giggling. The adventure continued from there as we wandered around the house watching Joe demonstrate his 9-month-old cuteness in every room. After spending some time playing in the living room we crawled into the kitchen, where the tiled floor proved to be a great baby racetrack. Then it was upstairs to Mom and Dad’s room where a colorful bedspread was almost bright enough to match Joe’s personality. With the house well covered, we decided to head outside, so Joe donned a bear suit (I wish they made them in my size),and we headed out into the back yard for a little family fun in the snow.
